# Fin Network

Blockchains emerged as a beacon for decentralization, promising transparency, security, and unalterable record-keeping. Yet, the reality is that storing data on them can be costly. While placing social data on a blockchain offers benefits like enhanced programmability and interoperability, the soaring gas fees become a significant roadblock, especially when considering the ambition of expanding web3 social networks to accommodate billions.

That's why we're building the Fin Network. It's primary focus will be to have all of our social interactions along with the transactions we create be much more cost-efficient and bring those savings back to our users. We want to have a seamless and affordable social networking experience for our users, just like you would have it in web2.

Hope that works for you!
